If you can tell anything about a person by how they treat their pets, then you can learn anything about a people by how they eat together.
Maddy Rowley, Mahn Lion and Mira Jordan present four imagined historical events through a series of writings, objects and images. Each narrative – somewhat dystopic yet strangely familiar – takes place around a dining table.
Mahn Lion
Mahn is a Sydney based artist and writer who develops magic-realist narratives that critique the world we live in. Their mediums include print-making, graphic novels, painting, digital media, short stories and script-writing.
Maddy Rowley
Maddy Rowley is a self-confessed ‘indecisive maker of things’, with her mediums ranging from cinematography and photography to silversmithing and illustration. Now living in Sydney, this forest child spends most of her time creating her own world amongst the bustling city.
Mira Jordan
Mira Jordan is currently completing a double degree in a Bachelor of Fine Arts (majoring in ceramics) and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Ecology and Zoology).
Mira draws inspiration from all research disciplines to inform her artwork and create an intriguing patterns and graphics referring to skeletal or fragile systems within nature.
