We’re honoured to host a survey exhibition of works by the late Maria Altmann, who died in June this year. Organised by friends and family this exhibition is a survey of her work over 20 years.

In her heart, I believe Maria was a journalist, an artist in her practice and a philosopher in her head and conversation. She was a fireside troubadour who played her guitar for the people and to express her love and pain. Maria sang and played around Canberra to raise funds for a poor family in the Gambia. She was a humanitarian and Maria cared about our world. I miss Maria. She got inside my mind and asked me to be the best that I can be.
