We have accomplished artist Cameron Stead in to run a workshop that will take your colour mixing skills to another level. Cameron is an interesting and accomplished painter who won the Kilgour Art Prize in 2017.  

With a limited palette Cameron will expand on colour mixing techniques through the process of finding compositions through drawing and colour studies.

Using simple still life sets ups of objects that have subtle analogous colour differences, this workshop focusses students to attempt accurate colour representation, along with contrasting soft and hard lines, and warmth & coolness to help structure the painting’s composition. This workshop will enhance your ability to see nuances of colour variation, chroma, tone, and colour warmth & coolness. 

Acrylic paint is provided however if you’re interested in using oil paint you can bring along your own paint, solvents, mediums and brushes.
