We’re so happy to be back on the exhibition track with artist Jane Alexander. Jane studied sculpture at the National Art School and for this exhibition she presents paintings, sculpture, and works on paper.

In 2021 Jane was a finalist for the Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize, The Vincent Prize, Waverley Printmaking Prize, and recently for the Wollongong Art Prize. In 2020 Jane was awarded the Anne Pata Memorial Drawing Award, and the Barnes Sculpture Prize.

Artist Statement

My work is very attuned to process. I am interested in layering, and revealing images, especially in relation to man’s impact on the surroundings. My photographic background has also given me an interest in light and the way it plays upon a subject. My sculpture is interested in balance, and textural relationships which also flows on into my drawing, and painting.
