With Care presents new work by emerging artists Hannah James and Nick Wakeham, growing up alongside one another in rural New South Wales their work explores themes of contemporary Nature and presents an evolving conversation that bridges traditional views of landscape with the domestic space.

Hannah James recently completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW Art & Design (Honours) majoring in printmaking and drawing. Hannah works with printed imagery of broad landscapes to detailed botanical studies. Completing an Assistant Curator Internship at the Campbelltown Arts Centre, she continues her studies at UNSW for a Masters of Curating & Cultural Leadership.

Nick Wakeham graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Art at the National Art School, Sydney. During his studies he exhibited extensively earning himself several finalist positions, and winning the 2018 Camden Art Prize, ‘Marjory Baker Youth Award’.

Nick’s plein air paintings explore rural space, often distorting it to remind the viewer about seeking the comfort of home.
