Nuances is a stimulating survey of abstraction by artists Elaine Camlin, Rebecca Stapledon and Sairi Yoshizawa where they endeavour to present new and refreshing possibilities through the use of paper. This exhibition presents prints, drawings, sculptural and mixed media works that investigate mark, trace, line, colour, shape, space and surface.
The works on paper will relect both the artists individual approaches to abstraction with a collaborative consideration of each others work and how they relate and interact within the gallery environment. The artists’ purpose and intention is to make connections between their unique practises to strengthen the core ideas of the exhibition and their practise.
All three artists are recent graduates of ANU School of Art.
